Life

Life has been full of all sorts of fun things the past weeks and some not so fun things. First the yucky things Graham was struck down with a bacterial infection in his throat in Hong Kong so had an extra nights stay in Honkers and then a first class ride home to recuperate. It took 10 days of bed rest, several trips to the doctor and antibiotics to get him right. He is on top of the world now thankfully. It was the sickest I have ever seen him and as you know as a wife full of concern I had him with every serious aliment known to man till we found out the cause. I must say he was an excellent patient.
Then poor little Max only a month after successfully conquering toilet training got a bout of diarrhea which he handled really well and only ended up with a few accidents. Jack and I have been super healthy and managed to keep away from any lurgies thankfully.
Jack is in count down mode for beginning Kindergarten he is so excited and can't wait to get started. He is looking forward to learning German, they give him German lessons privately. I am sure he will be giving me lessons and translating for me before I know it. Jack is enjoying being 5 ,but can't understand that now he is 5 why he isn't as big as his best friend Max upstairs, who is head and shoulders taller than him. Max is a big boy. They are the best of friends and will be going to the same Kindy together. Max is also counting down to his birthday, he really has an understanding this year of what it is all about.
The weather here has been awesome and we have really been taking advantage of swimming weather with many trips to the lake.
The boys have loved it and it has really felt like a Summer holiday. Zurich is amazing in the Summer everyone leaves and goes south to Italy for the Summer so everything slows down to snails pace and things even shut down. It is not unusual to head off to do something and find to closed for "Sommer Ferien".
