Holiday Mode

Merry Christmas and all the very best for the New Year.
WOW! A new year , resolutions beginning and already heaps of fun had by Fam. Hibbard and the Grand Parents. The Grandparents are here and have been since the 21st Dec. Hence the blogging has been light on. Their trip was majorly eventful and a very long 40 hours. Brisbane,Sydney,Hong Kong , in HGK there Finair flt was delayed so they had to go via Bangkok, then Helsinki, missed connecting flt there so had to go via Paris then Swiss Air to Zurich. Round the world in 40hrs. Although very tired their spirits were soaring as the grandsons greeted them waving Swiss flags and Welcome posters.
Christmas day was Fabelhaft with a visit from Santa and many gifts from our beautiful and thoughtful friends in the land heat waves. Our tradition of champagne breakfast on Christmas morning carried over to here and we had our gorgeous neighbor's from down stairs over for eggs Benedict. Yummy!!!! The traditional afternoon nap, needed not from overheating just over eating. Mum made a delicious Christmas dinner with organic veal and Christmas pudding. It was a lovely day, although no snow.
The week that followed was wonderful as the snow fell, shopped, went in search of Christmas markets inRheinsfelden a very quaint town in the Swiss countryside( on the border to Germany) ,visited Colmar in France, which had it's Christmas markets running till New Year , The Berg for The Grandparents to enjoy their first real Swiss fondue on top of a mountain ,which I must say is the only way to go. For The Granparents the experience is all so surreal and they keep pinching themselves to see if it is all real. It is so wonderful to have them here and to share with them all that we know and love here in the glorious Switzerland
