We just got home from saying farewell to our dear friend and adopted daughter "Vetti".
This good-bye closes an amazing chapter in our Swiss adventure.

This was something that for me was fearful, bringing someone into our home to live for 9 months, however it turned into something fabulous and beautiful. Thank-you Vetti.
The past 2 weeks have been emotion filled as we had our dear friends Bob and Mona from Australia, cousins from London and we began preparations for Vetti's departure from this fine land. B&M were here for 6 days and we had a fabelhaft time filled with fine food , wine, cold beer, shopping , The Berg, Basel lunch at Aqua (sensational restaurant with all you can eat Italian)

Colmar in France,

a gorgeous little town with colorful Tudor type housing.

We had afternoon tea there enjoying the wonderful deserts of France,Germany, Interlaken , mountain climbing and many times of laughter and fun. It was so good to see them and share a small snippet of our lives here in Swiss with them. I think the hilight for us all was the 2 nights we spent in the mountain hut on The Berg. B&M were blown away by its beauty as we always are on our visits there. Our visits won't be quite the same now though because our wonderful friends Urs and Doris finish up the time at The Berg restaurant and begin a well earned rest followed by a 6 month trip to NZ and OZ. It will be so good to spend some social time with them before they depart in December. It would have been so great to be in OZ while they visit however, they will be back. The week-end before last 3 of my cousins+1 boyfriend came to visit from London.

We had a fabulous time with racellete on Friday night and Fondue at The Berg on Saturday night. Yes another night at The Berg, which was was enjoyed by all. We all got along so well like we saw each other yesterday. They are amazing girls and I am so glad we are back in contact.Vetti's week-end of Farewell festivities went really well. Lots of delicious food, good wine and loads of laughs. Courntey and Tides stayed for the week-end, which for the boys was a babe fest and with heaps of attention.

We will miss Vetti so much, she had become so much part of the family. We love you Vetti, thanks for the laughs, for loving our boys as we do,for your friendship which I know will be everlasting, for the coffee's, for the nights on the lounge in front of the box,for the furniture removal and the list goes on. This is not Good-bye this is just see you soon.
